Where would you like this site to go?  [2/7/2001 15:54:29]

Hi everyone.

We're at a good point in the growth of this site - as I write this we have over 200 members, an ever-increasing number of well thought out and topical postings and a lot of encouraging feedback. Everything is looking good for the future!

However, we're always aware that this site was intended to be your site, and we would like it to be driven in the direction that its members would like.

So, in an effort to try to make this site even better, we need your feedback and ideas.

Where do you want the site to go?

Maybe you want new articles? Or possibly advertising features? Online seminars? More forums? Different forums, perhaps? What about adding new functionality - is there something you'd like to see? Is the layout working for you, or do we need to work on it?

It's hard to believe that the site as you see it has only been going for ten weeks - it seems such a short amount of time. We're growing quickly and we want your feedback!

Please reply to this topic and hopefully we can steer this site in a mutually agreeable direction...

John

Where the site should go  [2/7/2001 16:50:01]

On Line seminars I think would be a good idea... we as a company used to run a form of breakfast briefing regarding new products on the market or new ideas and we recently ran a seminar at Old Trafford where we invited speakers to talk on subjects such as IVR, Work Force Management, Internet Call Centres etc and found that it was useful because it was not a sales show.... trying to push people into things .... rather it was information sharing, getting people to think about what they have, if they can improve what they have and where to go and what to use in the future.

Any form of getting like minded people or people who work in the same industry from all roles is always beneficial.

Annabelle

Still seeking your wishes and ideas...  [4/9/2001 13:33:57]

Hi everyone.

As CallCentreVoice grows, we are beginning to embark on a series of enhancements to the structure and composition of the site. What this means is that we are now looking for your feedback about what you like and what you don't.

The restructuring will be mainly cosmetic, with a neater overall 'theme' to the pages and a degree of uniformity to the page layouts which will minimise the amount of 'wasted screen real-estate'. While we're looking at this redesign, we'll be open to improve upon any areas which are lacking, whilst adding a few new features.

So, if you want to help steer 'Voice for its redesign, please add your comments to this topic.

Best wishes,

John & The Admin Team

CCV - WIBNIs (Wouldn't it be nice ifs)  [5/9/2001 13:25:29]

John

Generally, I like things just as they are as the Forum is comprehensive (unlike some) uncomplicated (unlike some) and not too confusing (unlike some)...

Having said that, changes/enhancements I would really use, rather than simply like to see because they demonstrate you are a cool competent up to the minute programmer chappie, are:

- an ability to review a post prior to its commitment (would save you work too!)
- an on-line ability to use basic text formatting (simplebullets, bold, underline, italics and 6 colours)
- better use of screen real estate (e.g. I run this PC at 1600 res and have acres of white space available.
- an ability to see the post you are replying to when replying (!) at present, if replying to a non simple post I have to print it out which frankly seems daft.
- History in the chat room (yes that old chesnut)
- An ability to set my own chat room size and it be retained
- the chat room to use all available screen res. At present it simple opens up the space between lines when using a higher res screen past a certain point
- an ability to choose NOT to view certain forum entries e.g. in advertisments I may choose not to display the Geemarc Taperecorders for sale any more
-on that note perhaps an ultimate time limit on advertisments in general and a selectable one as required - after all messages and businesses progress don't they
- In my profile I'd like to choose a default for the 'send an email notification' and change it by exception only (saving me effort!!)

I didn't mean to put so many really... Personally, I feel the site is great. IMHO it would be a shame to change for any other reason than to enhance based on genuine needs. What I'm trying to say is, "Please don't try and change because others are. Do it becase its driven by real needs" I know you will/not!!!

Just one more...  [5/9/2001 13:31:43]

Sorry.

As someone with a very keen interest in CCV I personally need to see more than the single page of latest posts. Could we have the last two weeks available? Also gives people the ability to come back from their hols and review what has been said/posted.

The existing layout is great but maybe an ability to go back to a date and scoll up to date so to speak...

Thanks, David...  [5/9/2001 14:39:39]

Cheers, some of these sound like good suggestions - especially the one about showing the topic you are replying to so that you don't have to print it out. Also, the one about the 'latest posts' - perhaps a paged approach, as with the Unified forum woulddo - although in a sense the Unified view does what you're asking.

In any case, thanks for the positive compliments buried in there ;-)

Lots of work ahead, it seems... [big grin]
