IP Callcenter trends? [  [8/4/2004 14:25:07]

Hi,

Yes we are using an IP based VoIP and virtual PD/ACD/CRM etc very successfully. As with any new technology there will be hurdles like Viruses etc, but there are ways and means to work around them.

My opinion is that the future is in ASP/IP based technology - cheaper, easier to maintain/install/run , cheaper using VoIP ( even superior voice quality is installed well) .

ip call centre security  [14/4/2004 08:14:32]

hi Seo hyun-woong
I think the way ahead will be a mix of IP and TDM architecture. You've raised an important concern on the security. Its very important to choose the server platform that is prune to virus attacks and hacking. For example avaya's media servers on LINUX are a lot secure than cisco's architecture on windows platform that gets affected by bugs every now and then.
Also its important to make your existing LAN and WAN secure before you go ahead with putting your call centre on IP.

IP Callcenter trends?  [24/8/2004 00:03:13]

Deepesh,

We are using a solution from five9.com . It works well and does not cost the earth. It is probably the most economical PD on the market. The VoIP quality is simply great.

Vivek is going in the right direction, add cheaper to security, cost matters!,
not to mention the transition bigger companies are making to Linux.
The only Problem Lies is in the user not so friendly interface.
