My Dream Job  [23/9/2005 09:17:02]

Given that we lived in an ideal world and had a shot at being what we have always dreamt of being, what would be the best job you could find yourself in? and Why? This string looks to bring out the hidden you....the one thing you'd love to be...an athlete, a moviestar, a farmer.....it could be just about anything! The sky's the limit. Let me know. To get that little insight into the alternate reality we all live in our minds and hope we could in the real world.

Psycho  [23/9/2005 10:37:58]

No don't mean mad axe murderer.

But ever since the days i stood on the Trend End and watched Stuart "Psycho" Pearce launching opposition wingers into the Main Stand with "hard but fair" challenges i've wanted to have the crowd chant my name like we used to for him.

Unfortunatly, although i'm left footed, i'm not really built for intimidating people, and when my big chance at a football career came round i showed my pig headedness even then (aged 10) and wore my Forest shirt to a trial for Derby County!!

For me when i was young i had the wish to be a coal miner or roughneck on the rigs
Later in life and with the influence of Grease and Saturday Night Fever i wanted to be the greatest disco dancer around
And i allways had a frustrated wish to be a Hard Rock drummer or lead singer my hero,s being Neil Peart(Rush)Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) and Geddy (Rush ) Clem Burke (Blondie)

Professional footballer  [23/9/2005 12:19:19]

The same as William, a professional footballer.

As a mazy, fast winger, I always thought I could be the answer to England's 'problem' left side.

Unfortunately, the fact I have no ball controll, shot power or skill has rather scuppered that idea. Although, looking at the current England 11 against Northern Ireland, you never know...

Wouldn't mind the 50k a week wages too... ;)

... in the black!!  [23/9/2005 14:51:09]

I would like to be a top referee. FIFA list preferably.

Imagine going to the World Cup final and being on the pitch!!

Don't ask why I wouldn't rather play instead, because I am not sure I really know.

Rock 'n roll icon...  [10/7/2006 10:00:48]

Someone who can still pull in the crowds, releases a critically appreciated, massive selling album every other year, play golf on Saturdays with Alice Cooper, hang out with my own eastern guru on Wednesday afternoons, race my fleet of vintage sports cars at the weekend, take the helicopter down to the French Riviera on Monday AM (damned commute ;-), do a bit of recording on my yacht-cum-studio, lunch somewhere posh, back to the studio...

Get the picture?

Thing is, I've probably left it a bit late... instead, here I am coaxing a call centre website along for the love of it (!) and working in an mega profitable bank that treats me as a resource much as one would a pencil, a mouse-mat or printer paper...

Was I wrong....  [11/7/2006 09:21:14]

I always wanted to be a fighter pilot.....I was inspired by the spitfire pilots and wanted to be involved in dogfights not just to drop a huge bomb on a city....But as Nuclear weapons became more predominant as I grow up it I felt that there probably wasn’t going to be many more wars....Boy was I wrong!!!

dream job  [19/4/2010 06:31:20]

Hi,

What type of job do you dream about? Some of us know from the time we are very young what we want to do when we grow up. Others are still trying to figure that out. Still others have tried a career or two, then went on to do something completely different with their lives.

I wish I could get the powers to grant every one of you, your dream job (and live a day of it). That would indeed be mine.
