Call Centre Lighting  [28/7/2006 13:07:15]

My 200 seat Call Centre has adjustable lighting, and due to continual alteration of Brightness of individual lights - we have decided to set the Office at a standard 200 - 300 Lux.

The Office has Windows along 2 of 4 sides, and the lighting adjusts accordingly with it's environment.

Can anyone advise if the 200 - 300 Lux is ok, plus we've recently upgraded our PC's and some Agents are indicating the new level of lighting reflects off their new black keyboards.

Could Black Keyboards present a problem for reflection - all workstations and individuals are DSE's annually

Thanks

Hi Lee

The environment described sound very similar to the one im currently working in , we also have upgraded some of our computers mainly dell optiplex gx520 the black key boards give no reflection or irritate you from the light and also they give the feel of a better and more professesional working athmosphere.

I would say that 200-300 lux is good. Lots of it depends on the type of light bulbs you use. We use LED lights that we got from http://luminosityled.com and they see to be perfect...pretty much no reflection at all.
