Recommend me some schools over there  [12/4/2006 18:13:01]

Well Im reaching and exceeding that mid-20's range and wondering if I should go back to school.

So...let's talk the talk people.

I am currently investigating a telecommunications course available in Calgary, ALberta, Canada which seems to be top notch.

But what I am wondering/thinking is that maybe I should look into some courses over in your fair land of England.

I was thinking I might move over there next year and possibly go to school.

So.here be my question...

What schools or courses in your country would you recommend for someone interested in gaining a better understanding of the telecommunications side of things?

Bickenhall College of Computing  [13/4/2006 10:31:38]

Justin

I am told the course at the above college is very good and is well respected. The course is a diploma in call routing and telecoms.

Hope this helps.

What kind of course are you after?  [13/4/2006 11:46:16]

Is it something technical? Something CC related?

Any idea where in the UK you'd like to be?

Daryl...telecommunications primarily  [13/4/2006 14:41:52]

Not CC per sei, but definetly something in the telecommunications side of things.

I have no idea where I would be in the UK, I don't know anyone there.

Well...  [13/4/2006 15:20:51]

Entrance to higher education is controlled in the UK by an organisation called UCAS.

You can search their website by subject:

Telecoms courses

I think we may have a new Friday afternoon game forming here: you pick a uni and we'll give you reasons not to live in that area!

There are a lot of university's on there..holy...I'll have to investigate.

Considering I come from the murder and arson capital of Canada and for 4 months a year your skin will freeze off by going outisde I welcome your game of deciding why I shouldn't live in that area ;P

Croydon  [13/4/2006 19:25:27]

murder and arson capital of Canada

You'll be after Croydon then - it'll be like home from home.

[Disclaimer: Apologies to all those who live in Croydon - as someone who lived there for 20 years I can tell you it's not *quite* as bad as they make out!]
