CISCO Mc-3810?? Help wanted  [25/8/2001 08:04:36]

Hi people,

I am in the process of setting up a call center in India and have been researching the different (most economical) options for the Multiplexer. I have the details on almost all the different products like NewBridge, NUERA, Nortel. Recently I have also heard of asolution by CIsco (MC-3810) which also has voice multiplexing capabilities. Has anybody used this for a call center/voice application and with what results?

I would appreciate any comments on the above, and as far as Iknow, there is no installation in India which could serve as a benchmark.

Thanks,
Anuj

CISCO Mc-3810?? Help wanted [Sat, 25 Aug 2001 8:04am]  [28/8/2001 20:47:27]

1. On Newbridge ( mostly for circuit switched situations ). I have used ones. Can provide excellent pricing.
2.On Nuera. Pre-sales seems to be good. I've got their app engineers most of the time and I am very satisfied with them. They'll do just about everything for you.
3.CISCO. Had the run around from one of their master distributors. Conclusion, hard to deal with if you're not a larger dist yourself.

Cisco MC3810 - Help Wanted  [5/11/2001 13:12:42]

The MC3810 is a dependable solution which works well but is being phased out in favour of using the voice capabilities of the Cisco routers.

It all boils down to the number of voice channels you need between sites and what sort of voice quality you expect to ascertain the correct solution.

If you want to disucss your requirements please feel free to e-mail me.
