IVR Only Sales Platform  [12/2/2002 17:52:00]

Does anyone know of a company or industry type that uses IVR only for their acquisition channel? I work with a client that does not use a live call center, does not use an e-channel acquisition strategy, just offer an option to leave messages and hear recorded information through the IVR.

Many broadcasters, such as National Public Radio, use IVR contacts only for the ordering of tapes of broadcasts.

Game shows.
Who want to be a millionaire for example. (Broadsystems, supply this in the UK)
OR any of those call in to enter/win prize type jobs.
AND those, everyone wins a prize, call (a premium rate) number to collect your prize.

Personally, i would never recomend a system with no escape (except for these specialist applicatiosn) as it will just hack off your customers.
